History of males in early childhood education

Hello. I am an early childhood educator (a toddler teacher at the moment) who is in the process of writing a Master's thesis on males working with young children in the early childhood field. My focus is work with younger children but I am interested in any literature that includes the history of males entering the early childhood field. I would be very happy if anyone could point me in the right direction.

In the book The Importance of Men Teachers...we offer on this website, you'll find an excellent summary of the history as well as a bibliography of the history of men teachers.
