Being a teacher is tough at the best of times, but one primary school teacher has shared some of the problems that are reserved for male members of staff.

The teacher, who goes by Mr Chuntz on social media, revealed some of the annoying little things that bother him about school life.

The primary school educator took to TiKTok to share what it’s really like as one of the only male teachers

One of the main issues for the educator is not being able to chat to female teachers without people thinking there is something else going on between them.

“We can’t talk to a female teacher without other co-workers or students thinking we’re dating,” he said.

In fact, it’s not just female teachers Mr Chuntz said he can’t have an innocent conversation with, students try to set him up with their mums all the time too.

And being one of the few male teachers means he gets roped into being “everybody’s work husband.”

When he’s not acting as their work hubby the female teachers love to rant about their partners to Mr Chuntz too, but he said he knows better than to dish out any advice – he’s outnumbered after all.

“We’re gonna listen to you complain about your significant other, give zero advice, and just agree with you,” he said.

Despite actually being a maths teacher, Mr Chuntz said people always assume he’s a PE teacher instead.

Then there are the usual things that come with being one of the few men in the building, like helping out with hanging display boards and other quick DIY jobs around the school.
